Let go before calming down
The music "Suicide Social" by Orelsan tells the last words of a person who settles his accounts with the whole society and the French
French government before committing suicide.
He talks about many social problems, the LGBT cause, a complete breakthrough from the Parisian bobo to the city dweller, including workers and bosses, and everyone, young or old. Orelsan criticises
all social classes, we understand that he prefers to die than to live in a world like this, a world that is running to its
because of human stupidity.
"Suicide Social" is not so much a release of hatred,
but rather a
a succession of clichés,
more or less well chosen according to the social class attacked.
A sense of offense
Each person must be able to recognise himself in one of the verses sung by Orelsan, since it sweeps away, basically, all of the citizens. So, depending on one's point of view, opinions will clash. I'll give myself a few years to see if this song ages well, I hope that for you, society has changed. I've realised that it's not the music that is becoming more truthful over the years, but that it's me that is growing.
A poet without filter
For me in any case, this song will remain one of the best songs of the French RAP, the lyrics remain very intelligent and the emotion that we feel is very deeply touching, the suicidal character that Orelsan interprets is genius, I would have liked him to do this kind of song from time to time. Maybe he'll come out with one in a few months, or years, considering the way the world is getting worse and worse.
