Disasters
As I write this article, on 21 September 2022, the world is becoming an increasingly dangerous place. Typhoon Nanmadol killed about 4 people and injured more than 100 on September 20, 2022 in Japan, the most recent natural disaster at the moment but unfortunately far from the only one. Our world has seen others such as the flooding of central China caused by the exceptional flooding of the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Huai He River, the most terrible natural disaster of the modern era with an estimated 3.7 million people dead.
Diseases
September 2022, we have just come out of the COVID 19 epidemic, a disease that infected 613 million people and killed 6.53 million, after living through containment and telework, I wonder if I can live through anything else as improbable, but then again, this is the most recent epidemic, the world has known more terrible ones, the Black Death, it acted between 1334-1353 causing the loss of 75 to 200 million people
Wars
The wars have never stopped, currently Armenia and Azerbaijan, Palestine and Israel and many other countries are at war, but the one that is most talked about is the war in Ukraine, because it is the biggest war in Europe since the second world war in 1939-1945. For 10,000 years humanity has known war without peace!
